Project on Conflict Mapping and Stress Resistance
A comprehensive study of four ECOWAS countries was undertaken to map out the sources of conflict and resilience in Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire in the Manor River Union, and Niger and Senegal in the Sahel region of West Africa. The reports from these country studies formed the basis for engaging the ECOWAS Commission and representatives of national governments from ECOWAS member states to re-ignite discussions on the development of national Infrastructures for Peace (I4Ps) in the sub-region. The project envisages further engagement with the ECOWAS Commission and other stakeholders to support and develop capacities for mediation in the region.
