KAIPTC graduates first female PhD student at 11th Joint graduation ceremony

The eleventh graduation ceremony of the Centre came off on Wednesday, 7th June 2023 with 74 students (34 males & 40 females) receiving various degrees from the Masters of Arts in Conflict, Peace and Security, Masters of Arts in Gender Peace and Security, and Doctor of Philosophy in International Conflict Management programmes.

The ceremony was very eventful as KAIPTC passed out its third batch of Phd students in the persons of Dr. Albert Okpoti Botchway, Dr. Bright Ayitey and the first female graduate in the person of Dr. Rebecca Yakubu Akatue.   

Dr. Andrews Kwame Pianim, a renowned business economist and business consultant was the Guest of Honour whilst the Guest Speaker was in the person of Prof Samuel Ato Duncan, President of the Center of Awareness Global Peace Mission (COA GPM).

Delivering  inspirational  and thought-provoking remarks on the theme ‘Centering African Peace and Security Thought in a Multipolar World’, the two personalities called on the graduates to contribute significantly to advancing peace and security in Africa, by using their knowledge and skills to address the complex challenges of conflict and security on the continent.
