Course Fee: Each participant shall be required to pay a non-refundable commitment fee of ¢2,500 GHS (two thousand, five hundred Ghana cedis). Participants who are coming from outside Ghana would have to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Those who will require a visa on arrival will also be responsible for the cost of their visas.
Terms and Conditions:
  • The course will be conducted ONLY in English;
  • Every participant will have to prove adequate health insurance coverage, which should include Covid 19 before travelling to the Centre. Additionally, participants must possess a COVID-19 negative PCR test from an accredited laboratory in the country of origin. The test should have been done not more than 72 hours before the scheduled departure time from the country of origin. KAIPTC will not bear any health or accident costs for any participant.

Introduction/Background

The Certificate in Cyber Intelligence for Security Operatives is designed to provide participants with practical and industry proficiency and skills to conduct intelligence-led security operations and to practically apply various scenarios to deal with complex security situations.

This programme is tailored to provide Security Operatives with the necessary strategies and measures to conduct thorough risk assessments in various areas in various environments. Participants will acquire the skills needed to gather actionable intelligence and make informed decisions to enhance security measures using techniques pertinent to Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in intelligence gathering during investigations. The combination of these approaches will equip participants to adeptly counter potential cyber-threats that can threaten the security of Critical Information Infrastructures (CII), other critical security installations, sensitive public spaces, organisations and nation-states towards the overall enhancement of the global security landscape.

The training session will also address legal and ethical considerations in cybercrime intelligence operations, ensuring that participants understand the importance of compliance standards and ethical conduct in cybersecurity practices.

The main objectives of the course are to:

  • Understand the principles of intelligence-led security operations and their application in various security contexts.
  • Develop proficiency in conducting comprehensive risk assessments across different environments and sectors.

  • Gain practical knowledge of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques into intelligence gathering processes for enhanced decision-making.
