Office of the Commandant
The Commandant is the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre. He has overall responsibility for the operations of the KAIPTC including policy formulation and implementation as well as responsibility for internal liaison and networking between the Centre and other partners and agencies.
The Deputy Commandant, who assists the Commandant, is responsible for the day-to-day running of the centre. He also supports the Commandant to strengthen and expand linkages and collaborations between KAIPTC and other international and national agencies in the development, implementation and management of research, training and other programmes for the centre. The Deputy Commandant also serves as the liaison between the Centre and the Ghana Armed Forces.
The Office of the Commandant includes the Secretariat of the Commandant and Deputy Commandant and four units headed by the Director of Plans and Programmes. The Units are responsible for providing strategic advice and other services to support the work of the Commandant and Deputy Commandant. These units are also responsible for effective coordination and networking to support the work of all departments and units at the Centre.
